Feast Of The Senses

Dubbed as the premier Tropical Food Experience in North Queensland, the Feast of the Senses is a truly where you can explore different tastes, sights, smells, and sounds.

The Feast of the Senses features the region’s excellent variety of rare and exotic fruits whilst also exhibiting its enviable range of other produce such as meat, seafood, herbs, spices and wine.

To be held on 21 to 29 March, the week-long festival celebrates a genuine smorgasbord of fine food. Experience a wide range of produce and cultures that are found nowhere else but in this particular region of Tropical North Queensland.

An exciting festival, the Feast of the Senses highlights tropical produce as the main attraction of the festival and over this 10-day event, the crowd will be able to see, touch, taste, and smell the delightful fruit and all the delectable food that comes from this vibrant and agriculturally rich region.

An annual event that usually takes place in March, the festival incorporates food events, farm trails, art, photography, cooking competitions and caps off the entire programme with a huge Market Day Extravaganza boasting all the local produce of North Queensland.

The North Queensland features a wide array of tropical and exotic fruits which have been collected over the past 30 years from all corners of the tropical world.

In 2015 the Feast of the Senses Festival will gather the entire community for a ‘Tropical Fiesta’ themed celebration which will be suggestive of the regions of South America and the West Indies, places where much of our tropical produce originated. Everyone will have a deeper understanding of this influence as they attend events throughout the festival.

Catch events such as the International Food Fare, Bush Poets Breakfast, Hawking the Chalk, and food trails, among others.

Experience this one of a kind celebration of food and culture in the North Queensland. Visitors coming to the region for this event can also find a great selection of holiday accommodations such as Coral Towers. Our Cairns Holiday Accommodation is located near the event venue as well as other famous attractions in the region.
